Tobramycin-Dexamethasone 0.3-0.1% Ophthalmic Suspension

• Tobramycin (0.3%): This is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that kills bacteria by stopping them from making the proteins they need to grow and survive. It is effective against a wide range of common bacterial eye pathogens.
• Dexamethasone (0.1%): This is a potent corticosteroid (steroid) that reduces swelling, redness, and itching by suppressing the body’s inflammatory response. 

• Inflammation of the eyelid and the white part of the eye (conjunctiva).
• Inflammation of the cornea and front part of the eye (anterior segment).
• Chronic anterior uveitis.
• Eye injury from chemical, radiation, or thermal burns, or foreign bodies.
• Prevention and treatment of inflammation and potential infection after cataract surgery. 

• Prescription Only: This medication requires a doctor’s prescription.
• For Eye Use Only: It should not be used in the ears or injected into the eye.
• Common Side Effects: May include eye/eyelid irritation, itching, redness, temporary blurred vision, or stinging/burning upon application.
• Contraindications: It should not be used for viral infections (including herpes simplex keratitis). Fungal diseases, or mycobacterial infections of the eye, as the steroid component can worsen these conditions.
